Planate Management Group (Planate) is assisting the U.S. Government in monitoring an Energy Savings Performance Contract at Naval Air Station Sigonella (NAVSIG). As part of the contract, Planate oversees the construction of solar power canopies (steel structures with photovoltaic panels) over a large base parking lot. The contract, among other provisions, also requires the installation of new energy-saving LED light fixtures all over the base. The LED lights are being installed in both internal and external areas achieving one of the most important goals of the Energy Savings project.
