OLONGAPO CITY, ZAMBALES, Philippines – Planate Management Group (Planate), a worldwide engineering services firm with an office in Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), and officials at Columban College’s Baretto Campus have joined together to create a new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Center.
Planate supports Columban College’s mission to serve the educational needs of the city of Olongapo and the provinces of Bataan and Zambales. As an engineering services firm, Planate recognizes the need to increase student access to high-quality STEM programs. For the new STEM Center, Planate will renovate one room on the Barreto Campus. The renovation will include repainting, an improved design layout for the room, and improved electrical wiring and lighting. Planate will also provide computers to be used in the STEM Center.
“Planate hopes to help Columban students experience an immersive education, learn from an international company, and have better career opportunities in the future,” said Chris Decker, president of Planate Management Group. “The STEM Center will provide an advantage for the college and will enhance the lives of its students.”
Renovations are set to begin in the fourth quarter 2021
