Chris Decker, president and founder of Planate Management Group, has more than 35 years of military and civilian installation management experience while in uniform, as a senior government civilian, and as a contractor. Since 2007, Chris has led a diverse multi-discipline team of professionals delivering comprehensive technical solutions in some of the most complex and difficult environments worldwide. Under his leadership, the Planate team provides planning, architectural and engineering (A/E) design services, engineering support services, and environmental services for clients worldwide. His facilities management and acquisition career began in 1984 while serving as a US Navy Civil Engineer Corps officer (SEABEE). His 20-year active duty career culminated in becoming the Navy’s first public safety director and principal resourcing sponsor for a $9 billion program installation for combating terrorism following September 11, 2001. Decker has spent considerable time in Central Asia, North Africa, Southwest Asia, and Eastern Europe, working closely with businesses and institutions on engineering, construction, logistics, security, and related specialized services solutions.
