Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV (LOGCAP IV), Kwajalein

Planate provided on-site and reach-back engineering and technical support services for renovation, repair, and new construction projects in remote military facilities. Services included design reviews, construction documents, cost estimates (parametric and detailed), QA/QC, schedule analysis, and fire protection consultation, in compliance with IBC, UFC, NFPA, ASHRAE, IPC, and AISC standards.​

Planate’s scope included:

  • Architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection design for facility renovations and new construction
  • Development of construction bid documents, technical reports, and project planning estimates
  • Parametric and detailed cost estimating to support project planning and execution
  • Facility inspections, and coordination with Public Works staff

    Typhoon Mawar Recovery – Air Force Contract Augmentation Program V (AFCAP V), Guam

    Planate provided facility assessments, drafted scopes of work (SOW) and completed construction cost estimates for 103 buildings. We drafted drawings to include with the requests for proposal (RFP) where required. Planate is completing the following functions:

  • Receive all Requests for Information (RFI) from construction contractors. Draft and send responses that do not result in a change in cost or schedule. Draft recommendations to the government for all others.
  • Maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Solicit and receive weekly updates from construction contractors and update IMS weekly.
  • Review and recommend approval of Material Submittals. Compare each submittal to the required specifications then recommend approval
  • As project A&E firm, drafted drawings and specifications.
  • Draft weekly update brief for the government. Coordinate inputs from the construction contractors and update weekly government brief.

    Planate will provide International Building Code (IBC), Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 1-201-01 Non-Permanent DoD Facilities in Support of Military Operations, and Host Nation Construction Codes compliant design and engineering services for the preparation of preliminary and final construction plans (design) and specifications, cost estimates, project engineering documentation, including DD1391s, and parametric cost estimate documentation, technical reports including engineering and investigations and concept studies, construction cost estimates, operations and maintenance manuals, design reviews, construction consultation, geotechnical investigations, utility site surveys, environmental compliance, Post-Construction Award Services (PCAS), and topographic surveys.

    Assessment & Design for Wastewater Treatment System & Effluent Decontamination System – NAVFAC – AFRIMS, Thailand

    Planate Management Group provides comprehensive design and engineering services for NAVFAC at the U.S. Army Medical Directorate (USAMD) – AFRIMS Yothi Annex in Bangkok, Thailand. The project involves assessing and redesigning the existing wastewater treatment system (WWTS) and effluent decontamination system (EDS) to meet stringent biosafety and environmental standards for high-containment laboratories.

    Planate Management Group provided Anti-terrorism / Physical Security (AT/FP) consulting services for Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni. The engagement supported the U.S. Marine Corps and Government of Japan in implementing security-in-depth measures for a $4.8B construction program, ensuring compliance with Joint and Navy directives and mitigating mission-essential vulnerabilities.

    DHS ICE Facility Assessment, Honolulu, HI

    Planate Management Group, LLC (Planate) performed a facility and space utilization assessment at the U.S Department of Homeland Security Campus located at 591-595 Ala Moana Boulevard, Honolulu, HI 96813.  Planate Team inspected and assessed the current condition of the existing building as to determine the overall space capacity required to accommodate U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) program of requirements for personnel workstations and supervisor offices at the same time upgrading building infrastructure to current building code and technology. There were three (3) historical buildings that were inspected, the Administration building consisting of 19,014 square feet has a second level over the center of the building and one level wings on each side in an ‘H’ shape, the Garage and Waiting Pavilion consisting of 3,968 square feet and the Lanai or Investigation Annex consisting of 4,442 square fee.

    NAVFAC D/B UFC Construction of South Arm/De-Arm Pad, Basa Airbase, Floridablanca, Pampanga (Philippines)

  • Designer of Record: Successfully completed the 100% design package, which was executed by our local licensed professional engineers and architects.
  • The designs are fully compliant with both UFC (Unified Facilities Criteria) and the Philippine Air Force Requirements.
  • Performed a topographical survey, conducted soil investigation, and verified the existing conditions on site.
  • All significant design milestones underwent thorough review by Independent Technical Reviews conducted by US Engineers.
  • As part of the Construction Management Services, key personnel were deployed to the project site, including a Construction Superintendent, QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) personnel, and a Safety Officer.
  • NAVFAC Pacific: Construction & Quality Assurance Support Services (Mindanao, Philippines) 

  • Project was solicited as DB contract to demolish dilapidated facility, re-build a hardened 500-sqft OPCEN and refurbish the camp electrical utility room and OPCEN power distribution system.

  • Conducted initial site survey, drafted and facilitated AFP-USMIL site approvals, developed SOW, concept drawings, IGE and conducted engineering aspects of pre-bid and provided contractor proposal technical evaluation  recommendations.

  • Conducted engineering design, material and concrete design mix submittal reviews, review pre-construction dive plan, crane lift plan, schedule, safety and QC plans, witness laboratory materials testing, conducted routine QA oversight and as-built design reviews.
  • Facility Maintenance Services, Subic Shipyard (Philippines)

  • Planate Management Group has been awarded a subcontract to provide Facility Maintenance Services at Subic Shipyard (formerly Hanjin) in Subic Bay, Philippines.

  • With this contract, Planate maintains facilities and associated equipment, including responding to calls for fire protection, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry needs.

  • Engineering Consultancy – Philippine Red Cross Tacloban Warehouse demolition, Tacloban, Philippines

  • Planate provides professional services to support Demolition activity (performed by specialist contractors) and developed a design for the replacement warehouse. 

  • Planate developed a Functional Brief in consultation with PRC confirming the process of Tacloban warehouse demolition to support the process of engaging a competent Contractor for demolition work.

  • Planate will provide PMO of the demolition works to ensure the contractor performs the works in accordance with local standards and regulations.
