ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Planate Management Group, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), recently contributed technical expertise to a project based at Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras.
As part of the project’s initial phase, Planate deployed two specialists—Curtlin Johnson (civil engineer) and Rich Trimble (electrical engineer)—to conduct a pre-deployment site survey from August 15–18. During the visit, the team collaborated with project stakeholders to assess site conditions and gather key planning information to inform future project development.
Following the site survey, the work transitioned to Planate’s Global Technical Support Center (GTSC). The next steps include preparing cost estimates, identifying design disciplines, and supporting the planning process in close coordination with the project’s prime contractor.
Pending further developments, the project may lead to additional responsibilities related to design, planning, and construction oversight. Future deployments of U.S.- and Philippines-based staff are being considered based on project needs.
Planate’s involvement reflects its continued role in delivering architecture, engineering, and technical support services in international settings and supporting infrastructure projects in coordination with government and commercial partners.
