Planate Management Group closed 2022 with 12 new contract awards. The company delivered engineering, planning, design, and construction management services across U.S. and international locations. These projects highlight Planate’s expanding global presence. They also reinforce its commitment to mission-critical infrastructure support.

Pacific Region Projects

In January, Planate secured a contract to provide Facilities Technical Inspections (FTI) at U.S. Army Garrison–Kwajalein Atoll in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. Then–Vice President of Planning Services Sean Ebersold led the effort. Planate’s multidisciplinary team conducted mechanical, electrical, structural, HVAC, and plumbing inspections across multiple islands.

Soon after, Planate began a Phase I Environmental Assessment for the Army Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). This effort supported U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) sites in the Philippines. These sites included the Philippines Shipyard and Subic Bay.

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Projects

In the spring, Planate earned a contract at the VA Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. The team addressed mechanical and electrical deficiencies. Services included design development, planning consultations, construction documentation, and cost estimating. The work also supported follow-up assessments.

In June, Planate began supporting the VA Portland Healthcare System. The team remodeled prosthetics and physical therapy spaces at the Portland campus. The project covered 7,000 gross square feet. It improved efficiency and enhanced patient flow by optimizing underused areas.

During the summer, Planate secured three additional VA-related contract awards. First, the company partnered with VISN 5. The team supported Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) upgrades. This work covered VA Medical Centers and clinics across multiple states.

Next, Planate supported VISN 8. The team delivered Construction Program Management and Related Services (CPMRS). These services supported facilities across Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The work included planning, design reviews, and construction oversight.

Additionally, Planate received a contract with GSA Region 10. The team provided mechanical engineering services. These services supported projects across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

Education and Tribal Infrastructure Projects

In the autumn, Planate expanded its work with Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) campuses. These included Haskell Indian Nations University and Southwest Indian Polytechnic Institute. The team delivered construction management, inspections, and technical oversight. The projects supported maintenance, renovations, and facility improvements.

Naval Facilities Engineering & Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC)

Planate also secured two contracts at NAVFAC EXWC in Port Hueneme, California. The work focused on substation renovations. The scope included repowering a 2,500 kVA mobile containerized substation. It also included designing three 3,750 kVA mobile substations.

Eastern Europe Infrastructure Support

Toward year-end, Planate began facility evaluations in Romania. The team assessed tension fabric structures at deployment sites. These evaluations verified compliance with UFC and OSHA standards.

In Ukraine, Planate supported restoration efforts at Irpinsky Hospital in Irpin. The facility sustained damage in 2022. Planate’s team conducted on-site assessments and developed a preliminary cost estimate. In addition, the company donated and managed window replacements. This effort fell outside government contract scope.

Looking Ahead

These projects demonstrate Planate’s ability to deliver results in complex environments. The work spans healthcare, defense, education, and disaster recovery. Planate remains committed to supporting public-sector missions. The company continues to strengthen the communities it serves.
