As 2024 draws to a close, we look back on a year marked by extraordinary transformation, progress, and resilience. This year, we grew by 30%, empowering our team to achieve more than ever before. 2024 exemplified what can be accomplished when innovation meets teamwork. Our expanded geographical footprint allowed us to venture into uncharted regions, while we strengthened relationships with partners and clients, both longstanding and new. Beyond business, we made a meaningful impact through community initiatives, supporting organizations such as the Navy Safe Harbor Foundation, dedicated to assisting wounded, ill, or injured veterans. These achievements reflect not only our growth but also our commitment to making a lasting difference.
Two key themes emerged as defining elements of our journey: innovation and teamwork. Innovation has driven us to explore new sectors, redefined how we meet our clients’ needs, and stay ahead in an ever-evolving industry. Teamwork, on the other hand, has been the backbone of our success, enabling us to grow our service offerings, establish new offices in diverse countries, and collaborate seamlessly with our partners to deliver exceptional outcomes. One of the most significant highlights of 2024 was our expansion into new regions. We established offices in Cagayan Philippines, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, and Guam. These locations represent more than strategic growth; they signify our commitment to meeting clients where they need us most. By being closer to the action, we’ve enhanced our ability to collaborate locally, understand regional nuances, and provide bespoke architectural and engineering solutions that exceed expectations. Our continued expansion into these regions highlight our commitment to being where our clients need us most, delivering excellence at every step.
Through innovation, our service offerings have expanded in both scope and sophistication, making 2024 a year of unparalleled achievement. We implemented a global design delivery model for architecture and engineering (A-E) services. This model allows us to utilize the best resources of our global team to rapidly and efficiently collaborate on designs anywhere in the world, while meeting stringent design requirements of the subject country. This approach supported our work under a new A-E Services contract with NAVFAC Pacific, where we developed design-build RFP packages for a hangar at Cesar Basa Air Base, Philippines as well as a wastewater treatment plant in Bangkok. These projects encompass comprehensive A-E services, including site surveys, stakeholder coordination, RFP development, and responses to pre-proposal inquiries. We ensured that all requirements met the rigorous standards set by NAVFAC and the Department of Defense (DoD).
This year, our efforts have been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. We received the ‘Sustaining Business of the Year – Small Business’ award by the Society of American Military Engineers and the prestigious 2024 HIRE Vets Platinum Medallion Award, which highlights our commitment to veterans. Additionally, our President, Chris Decker, P.E. was appointed as Chairman of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA), an opportunity to serve our partners in the stability operations sector. These honors are a testament to the dedication, innovation, and excellence that define Planate.
We celebrated project milestones that exemplify the impact of our work. Notable achievements include a $240M IDIQ MATOC Contract for Construction Management Services across the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division and a transformative partnership with Prime Consulting International Ltd and the Philippine Red Cross to redesign an emergency warehouse in Tacloban. From boiler system upgrades at the Martinez VA Facility to architectural and engineering design projects at Lake City VA Medical Center and Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo, our team consistently delivered outstanding results.
In Guam, we supported typhoon recovery and infrastructure efforts at Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB), contributing to over 100 facility upgrades. A key achievement was the interior renovation of the Child Development Center, which required continuous coordination to meet strict reopening deadlines.
Through these efforts, Planate helped support Andersen AFB recovery from the Typhoon Mawar while also contributing to the local economy through workforce expansion and local hiring initiatives. These efforts reflect our commitment to both operational excellence and economic inclusion.
In addition to these professional accomplishments, 2024 was a year of giving back. We proudly sponsored events for organizations supporting veterans, including the Navy Safe Harbor Foundation’s Veterans Lunch and Golf Tournament. We also engaged with future engineers, architects, and land surveyors by delivering inspiring presentations at Simon Sanchez High School in Guam during EALS Week. These initiatives reflect our deep commitment to community impact and fostering the next generation of innovators.

Whether navigating the complexities of geopolitical tensions in Ukraine, overcoming logistical challenges in Djibouti or expanding our presence across the Pacific, our teams demonstrated resilience, creativity, and a shared commitment to excellence.
