ALEXANDRIA Va – Planate Management Group was awarded a subcontract to provide Engineering Technician and Planning/Estimating services in support of the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB) Base Operating Support (BOS) Services Task Order for Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Planate’s Engineering Technicians will provide AutoCADD drawings, provide as-builts for engineering projects, keep an accurate record of all project and reference drawings and their revision status on the Master Drawing List in accordance with established practices (Construction Standards Institute); identify drawings with an established numbering system (American Institute of Architects Standard) and revision number to ensure that they are identifiable and retrievable; maintain and create drawings and related design work using utility maps in ESRI ArcGIS geodatabase; and maintain control and operate a technical library.

Planate’s planning/estimating services include providing a variety of engineering services for planning and estimating improvements to facilities; researching and preparing cost estimates, specifications and standards, and procurement packages for new or modified facilities; assisting in developing plans for improvements to facilities and working with Government counterparts and the prime operating personnel on facilities requirements, design, and development considerations; preparing and monitoring installation design plans and work order improvements to facilities; preparing Technical Directive Work Request projects for independent Government estimates; and coordinating with engineers and other planners/estimators to assist and develop multi-discipline design projects.
